THE RHYTHMIC BODY – a 4-day workshop series in Perth
April 7, 2023 - April 10, 2023
THE RHYTHMIC BODY – a 4-day workshop series in Perth, WA with Master TaKeTiNa teacher Tania Bosak and Advanced teacher Rebecca Bradley
Those who flow as life flows know they need no other force. – LAO TZU
The Rhythmic Body is a series of TaKeTiNa workshops aimed at all-level musicians, movers, bodyworkers, educators, leaders, and anyone interested in opening and practising the art of entering a deep state of flow.
About TaKeTiNa© Rhythm Process
In TaKeTiNa the body becomes the instrument through clapping, stepping, voice and guided rhythm journeys, while polyrhythms and cross-rhythms form the rhythmic foundation of the process. These elements combine in a rich musical interplay, where predictability and unpredictability bring us to the mysterious transitional space between chaos and harmony.
The process allows you to:
* Practice presence and inner stillness
* To work creatively and effectively with chaotic phases
* Improve your performance by reducing your anxiety about making ‘mistakes’
* Practice entering a state of relaxation, effortlessness and flow
* Open and express your unique creativity
* Develop improvisational skills and rhythmic confidence
TaKeTiNa® requires no musical experience and invites participants to go at their own pace. As well as using the body and voice the workshop will also utilise small handheld percussion instruments – all instruments will be supplied.
Tania Bosak, Master teacher returns fresh from Europe where she has completed the first semester of teaching TaKeTiNa Rhythm to professional drummers and musicians at the Conservatorium of Brussels, as part of the Bachelor of Rhythm course.
TaKeTiNa© founded by Reinhard Flatischler / More information on the process can be found at www.taketina.com.au and on the official founder’s site www.taketina.com
