Master TaKeTiNa Teacher Tania Bosak is presently teaching at the Conservatorium of Music in Brussels, where the TaKeTiNa Rhythm Process, (as founded by Reinhard Flatischler) has been formally integrated into the Bachelor of Rhythm and Rhythmics program at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles. This innovative 3-year training, co-founded by Arnould Massart, is specifically designed for professional music and rhythm educators, providing a unique opportunity to refine their skills for use in artistic, educational, socio-cultural, or health-care contexts. MUSICIAN – ACTOR – MASTER TaKeTiNa Teacher

Tania has dedicated over 34 years to a multifaceted career as an actor, musician, producer, composer, musical director, theatre director, and passionate educator, both in Australia and internationally. Her journey began with training in Odissi and Bharatanatyam Indian Classical dance from 1989 to 1997, complemented by acting and physical theatre training at The John Bolton Theatre School in 1991. This diverse foundation ignited her enduring passion for rhythm, storytelling/theatre, and movement.

In 2018, after more than two decades of training and practice, Tania achieved certification as a Master TaKeTiNa Rhythm facilitator. TaKeTiNa, a distinctive Rhythm and Meditation process created by composer and musician Reinhard Flatischler, became a focal point of her expertise. She trained with Flatischler in the USA and assisted him between 2010 and 2021 in TaKeTiNa Teacher Trainings, Weekend workshops, and Drumming and Percussion courses.

Tania’s interest in rhythm expanded to encompass health, healing, group process work, and music for social and personal change. This led her to complete a Diploma in Solution-Focused Counselling (CET, Dr. Rob McNeilly) and further training with Stephen Gilligan, including a Trance Camp in 2008 and a certificate in Generative Trance therapy at the Institute of Applied Psychology (IAP) in 2020. In 2021, Tania completed a leader training certificate with ‘Musicians without Borders’ in Germany alongside Otto De Jong, Marion Haak-Schulenburg, and Juan David Garzon.

In 2004, Tania founded Pulse Rhythm Events, an organization committed to presenting collaborative workshops and events involving theatre, rhythm, body, voice, and personal evolution practices. Under the banner of Pulse Rhythm, Tania currently conducts online ACTIVE RHYTHM MUSIC MEDITATION (ARMM™) programs, blending her expertise in Generative Trance practice, theatre, voice, movement, and the TaKeTiNa Rhythm process.

Tania’s expertise in TaKeTiNa led to an invitation to teach in the Bachelor of Rhythm and Rhythmics at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, a groundbreaking 3-year training program co-founded by Arnould Massart. This program is designed for professional music and rhythm teachers seeking to enhance their skills for artistic, educational, socio-cultural, or health-care settings.

Since 1991, Tania has continually evolved her rhythm and arts teaching practice, specializing in imparting these skills to actors, dancers, musicians, and theatre makers, as well as within community settings. She has been engaged by various universities and organizations, including Theatre de la Parole (director/dramaturg/movement), Melbourne Polytechnic (TaKeTiNa/Rhythm/Balkan Choir), Victoria University (Rhythm and Theatre), and MTC (Melbourne Theatre Company) Educational programs (rhythm/voice/movement). Currently, she serves as a guest TaKeTiNa/Rhythm and Movement tutor at Melbourne University in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Theatre).

As a diverse musician and performer, Tania collaborates with music ensembles such as The Barefoot Orchestra, Rektango, and The Beijao. She has also performed with renowned rhythm specialists/drummers, including Graeme Leak, Greg Sheehan, David Jones, and the UK group STOMP, known for their innovative use of everyday objects. In 2004, Tania was awarded a Churchill Fellowship, allowing her to study Korean drum and dance with Master drummer Jin Lu Rim in South Korea and explore Korean percussion at the SamulNori Academy in Puyeo.

Throughout more than three decades, Tania has maintained a connection with theatre work, serving as a theatre worker/actor, community artist, musician, and musical director on various projects in Australia and abroad. Her engagements include Theatre de la Parole in Belgium (theatre director/movement director), Gonghouse Music Theatre Company (dancer/drummer), Margie Mackay Productions on large-scale outdoor community music events (MD/composer), Theatre Alfresco (actor/MD), Big Monkey Theatre (actor/MD), STOMP percussion group (dancer/drummer), Chamber Made Opera (musician/actor), Rawcus Theatre (musician/composer/performer), and Jessica Wilson Productions (actor).

Tania holds a BA in Performing Arts, Contemporary Dance, and Education and completed additional training in music, physical theatre, acting, and movement at The John Bolton Theatre School in 1993. She is also a proud member of IAGC, The International Association of Generative Change.
